High Efficiency PA-6000 Pond Aeration Kit
Running on just 55 watts of electricity, this whisper-quiet aeration pump costs virtually nothing to run. You can feel good about providing constant aeration to your pond.
Aeration is extremely important. A healthy ecosystem requires a constant supply of oxygen. The RWK-6 linear pond air pump provides 2.12 cubic feet of oxygen per minute to the water. This increases and maintains higher levels of dissolved oxygen in the water. Also, the rising air bubbles increase water circulation.
During warmer months, warmer pond water contains less dissolved oxygen than colder water. The churning bubbles prevent the pond from completely freezing over. Keeping a hole open in the pond is critical for the health of your fish. An open hole in the ice allows for potentially harmful gasses to escape the water.
