VPA-10 variable pond air pump produces .36 cfm of oxygen to ponds, fish holding tanks, and hydroponic systems. Oxygenated water is critical for keeping fish and aquatic life alive and healthy. Aerating the water also benefits the bacteria living inside biological filters.
The fish holding tanks shown here feature the PA-2000 pond aeration kit. The PA-2000 can also be used to aerate fish hospital tanks and holding tanks during pond clean-outs.
The VPA-10 variable pond air pump is not rated for outdoor use. If using the PA-2000 outdoors, the air pump must be protected from the weather. The VPA-10 variable pond air pump is not weather resistant or submersible.
The PA-2000 pond aeration kit includes four 2″ ball diffusers and four 30' pieces of 4 mm black air tubing. The maximum depth for the diffuser with the PA-1000 is 24″.

During periods of freezing weather – the rising air bubbles from a PA-2000 pond aeration kit with the ball diffusers will keep a hole open in the ice. An open hole in the ice allows for potentially harmful gasses to escape the water.
