1. Turn your pump OFF and let all the water in the waterfalls and stream flow into the Hydro Chamber™

Open the drain of the Hydro Vortex™ waterfall filter and let it completely drain

2. OPEN the drain valve of the Hydro Vortex™ waterfall filter and let it drain

3. Turn your pump back ON and pump all the water from the Hydro Chamber™ to the Hydro Vortex™ filter with the drain OPEN

4. When the pump starts "sucking air", turn the pump OFF and remove the pump by opening the quick-disconnect cam-lock - (no tools are required) - store your pump indoors in a bucket of water for the winter months

5. Shop-vac out the remaining water from the bottom of the Hydro Chamber™

6. Install a rubber drain cap onto the inlet pipe to the HydroSieve™ pre-filter to prevent rain and snow-melt from entering the Hydro Chamber™


7. Leave the Hydro Vortex™ waterfall filter's drain valve OPEN all winter to drain rain and snow-melt from the filter

That's it! You're done! No fuss. No mess. No hand-picking leaves. No extra pump. No extra pipe. Russell Pondless Systems™ are the easiest pondless waterfall to winterize.
