HydroFloc™ pond clarifier flocculant is one of the most highly concentrated flocculants. available. It is specially formulated for all types of ponds Our comprehensive and balanced formulation quickly clears dirty, cloudy water.
HydroFloc™ pond clarifier flocculant quickly clears cloudy water when used with a filter. Removes suspended particles. Working with a filter, HydroFloc™ Water Clarifier Flocculant quickly clumps suspended particles and free-floating algae. This allows the filter to easily remove these “clumps” from your pond water without harming the natural balance of pond life and plants.
HydroFloc™ pond clarifier flocculant creates sparkling clear water in your pond or pondless water feature. A proprietary formulation is used to coagulate suspended solids in the pond water. After use, particles in the water settle into the filter system.
Apply directly to new ponds, immediately when water is dirty or cloudy.

I’ve been using the Summer Maintenance Beneficial Bacteria for several months now. It helps keep my pond especially clear. I add small amounts to my moving bed filter throughout the month.
I use this weekly all Winter to help keep my water parameters stable and the water very clear. This video was taken through the feed window of my Winter cover. The pond is 5 1/2 feet deep at this spot.

I’ve never used the granular bacteria before. Although my pond is usually clear, after using this product for a week, the water is extremely clear, fines gone. The video shows our koi at different levels from near the surface to nearly six feet deep.
Since our pondless stream is a closed system (I do add some water to the system each week) string algae can start showing up on the rocks especially when the weather gets warm. Occasionally, in order to keep everything clean and looking natural, I will turn off the pump for a few minutes and sprinkle some Hydro Viscense on the stream bed and let it work for a short time. When I start the flow again the stream will be clean and natural again. It’s a great product.

worked as advertised. I used the entire jar as i have a 50ft long 5ft wide pondless waterfall. All the drops are clean and very happy. No plants or fish to worry about. Dog drinks from the waterfall . Enjoy the video. I built this 17 years ago and just changed the pump and changed the spillway.

Store owner replied: Hi Kevin, Thank you for your review and your comments! HydroFloc Water Clarifier causes fine particulates to clump together for collection in a skimmer or other pre-filter. It is not a pond or rock cleaner. If you have cloudy water, you should see the water clear up 24-48 hours after using HydroFloc. If you need to remove unwanted build up from the water feature rocks, I recommend using Hydro Vescense Effervescent Cleaner. (https://russellwatergardens.com/products/hydro-vescense) After treating with Hydro Vescence, use HydroFloc to bind the tiny particulates that will be created. Please don't hesitate to get it touch if we can help any further.
I bought the product in anticipation of using it when I start the waterfall up again. That hasn't happened yet so I have no opinion of the product purchased. I have hopes but no actual experience with the product.
Great product….shipping costs are expensive.

Beneficial bacteria can take anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months to colonize and become fully established and start working effectively. Results also vary with water temperature and water chemistry. I'd love to know how frequently you applied the product and what amount you used, so I can further help troubleshoot. You are welcome to send us photos of your pond as well if you think that would be helpful. If you continue to use as directed and still are not satisfied, we will be happy to offer you a refund for the product. We discovered that with the circulating pump running only about 15% of the time, and an undersized aeration system, the bacteria was not receiving enough oxygen to thrive.
